FT26 Schutzblechmontage
thingiverse
Human: These parts were designed and successfully installed to secure the wide protective plate of Classic Cycles to the FitiFito FT26.\r\n\r\nThe fork mount holder as well as the protective plate holder in front, bottom V2 once normal print and once mirrored.\r\n\r\nThe front protective plate has two mounting points and does not come with the steel brackets that are supplied with the protective plate.\r\nI generally used Inbus screws and matching lock washers for this purpose.\r\n\r\nThe rear protective plate is secured three times, once directly to the frame bottom without additional plastic parts because all holes in the frame and in the protective plate are present, once above the plastic part shield holder back V4 at the frame and once over a provided but cut down steel bracket that is attached to the stay.\r\nHere the flat tongues need to be shortened by about 12-14mm, new holes must be drilled in the shortened tongues for the screws to attach to the rear wheel swingarm as well as an upper recess must be introduced on the left tongue for a pre-existing screw (flat file etc.).\r\n\r\nSince there are two threads free in the frame at the hub and are probably intended for this purpose, it is not necessary here to use a separate plastic holder.\r\n\r\nThe rear protective plate must be adjusted in width in the area of the upper frame stay, i.e. narrowed down, so that it fits between the frame parts. I had it slightly tapered at the sides and top afterwards sanded and repainted with flat black.\r\nFor the upper mounting point, a hole is drilled into the protective plate during installation. It's also recommended to apply paint to all exposed areas.
