Printed landing gear and hood scoop, along with wing reinforcement (including options with and without landing gear add-on) for Simple Storch! I've added front landing gear that has 9mm less stick out, ensuring the wheel doesn't extend too far from the landing gear rods. You can choose either of the front STLs; just remember to print in mirror and keep them paired. If they get mixed up, match them using layer lines. I've printed and installed these components myself, and I'm open to potential changes. These parts use stock landing gear rods bent to match the FT Storch build video dimensions. The two triangle pieces require trimming; this is easily done by sliding them into the landing gear mount, which attaches to the fuselage belly and has a marked center slot. Cut them so they fit all the way in, without touching. The wing strut piece no longer needs bending for the axle but gets a slight 10° bend about 1cm long to slide into the wing reinforcement bracket that holds BBQ skewers for the wing mount. The axle is a 2" long piece that slides into the front and back landing gear pieces. You may need to adjust your triangle pieces to fit into the wheel mounts; start with the outer piece and press it in, then slide the axle in (which also serves as a guide for the back piece during gluing). Scuff the surfaces well and glue securely, avoiding the axle. The wing strut is designed to slide up and down in the back half of the mount, with a provision for a 3mm set screw to hold it in place after sliding into the upper wing reinforcement bracket. The FrontLandingGear and Back Landing gear pieces must be printed as a set and then mirrored for the other side. Be cautious about which side you attach them, or the axle angle will be incorrect. These parts are printed without supports, with a layer height of 0.15-2mm and an infill density of 40mm/sec. Orientate them like my Cura photo, so the sides that glue together face down. The landing gear mount consists of three pieces: the main piece and two locator plugs that I CA glued into place. These are inserted into the original slots on the fuselage bottom. Currently, there's no provision for screw holes; I hand-drilled some and mounted with screws into paint sticks! The upper wing reinforcement needs to be mirrored and printed with supports. Print the side that touches the fuselage down. In Cura, I left a 0.3mm gap between support layers and used an 8% support density. I didn't worry about aesthetics; the rougher surface is better for gluing. Originally, I didn't account for the landing gear strut but added it later. This piece might get reworked to be beefier in the future, but it's already glued onto my plane. I printed a hood scoop because I cut mine off prematurely while prepping foam for building; this part was designed with supports so the good side faces up.
