FT Sea Duck pontoon
thingiverse
This is the pontoons for the Flite Test Sea Duck. You'll need one for each wing, so just print two. They're not left/right specific, though. If you can fit it on your bed, it's modeled at 100% scale to the plans. The only difference from the plans is that I made a better hull shape on the bottom. That's tougher to do with foam board. I printed my first one without realizing Cura had auto-scaled it to 70%. It's pretty good size, though, so I'm going to see how that works once I get the plane put together. At 70% scale, it weighs 38g. Print Settings Printer: Maker Select v2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 15% Notes: Print with the top side down on the bed. The top side is completely flat. No supports needed that way. How I Designed This I imported the PDF page from the plans that had the pontoon on it into Inkscape, then saved that as SVG. I imported SVG into FreeCAD and sketched/modeled from there.
