FT mini power pod for a Super Bee
thingiverse
This is a mini power pod for the Flite Test Super Bee. It can probably be used with any other Flite Test plane that utilizes the mini power pod, but the Super Bee specifically requires the slight downward angle of the motors. The pod features mounting holes on the front for the motor I'm using with it. https://hobbyking.com/en_us/kingkong-2204-2300kv.html It also includes holes for BBQ skewers that they recommend using to hold the power pod in place. A picture does a poor job of showing the actual power pod, but you can see where the BBQ skewers go through it. I'm using a laser-cut piece of MDF on the front of the power pod as a thermal break to prevent the motor from heating up the PETG and warping it. 1/14/2017 - An additional version with slightly less tilt has been added. The previous tilt was based on the Super Bee model, but after flying I think I need less incline on the front. So the angle has been reduced from 5 degrees to 3 degrees. 8/29/2017 - A bearing hole has been added to all models as well as two heavier versions where the walls are 1mm thicker.
