FT Mini power pod firewall for quad motors
thingiverse
This is a pair of firewalls specifically designed for mounting a racing quad motor on the FT Mini Power Pod. One features a 16mm x 19mm hole pattern (perfectly suited for 220x size motors), while the other boasts a 12mm x 16mm hole pattern ideal for 180x size motors. The firewall itself measures 4mm thick, providing both strength and ensuring typical mounting bolts reach the correct length. A sample picture showcases a 2204 motor securely fastened to the firewall. Updates were made in the following timeline: September 21, 2017: A new version with a 12x12mm hole pattern was added to accommodate motors like the RacerStar BR1806. September 23, 2017: The SCAD model was integrated into the design, allowing users to configure all parameters via the Customizer App. This is an ongoing project as it marks the first time using this feature. October 8, 2017: Tabs were added to the Customizer version in an effort to enhance the firewall's attachment to the power pod. Users can adjust the tab length to zero if they prefer not to have tabs. The default values for the tab position and foam thickness should be suitable for Dollar Tree or Flite Test foam board, but users are advised to make adjustments according to their specific materials. Print Settings: Printer: Maker Select v2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 50-100% Notes: The wall, top, and bottom thicknesses were set to 1.2 due to the anticipated heavy use of the firewall.
