FT Mini Arrow motor mount

FT Mini Arrow motor mount

I got fed up chopping wood for my handcrafted miniature arrows so I created this to slide into the plane instead. I enjoy experimenting with motors so being friction fit, I can simply swap in a different setup if I'm feeling adventurous. This mount is designed to work seamlessly with the metal spacer that comes with many affordable motors, which seemed like a sensible approach since some of my 4s setups run extremely hot after heavy use. The holes are spaced 30mm apart and the holes themselves measure 3mm in diameter. An M3 metric screw fits perfectly and won't come loose if you apply gentle torque (no need for a nut on the back if you tighten it carefully). This should work with other Flite Test planes that utilize the smaller motor mount, but I haven't tested that yet? I uploaded the Sketchup file as well so you can modify the original to suit your needs...enjoy, I adore the mini arrow, its speed is unmatched, it's inexpensive to build, isn't finicky about what you attach to it and is incredibly easy to make, making them almost disposable.
