This is a set of parts designed specifically for the Flite Test Legacy aircraft, also known as the Founders' plane. These parts offer several key benefits: they provide wear resistance to the elastic bands holding the wing in place on both sides of the wing, and ensure the wing remains aligned with the fuselage. This alignment feature was crucial for setting up bi-directional motor configurations mid-flight. Note that using elastic bands to mount wings typically provides crash resilience, but incorporating these parts will compromise this advantage and potentially increase damage risk in a crash. So, it's essential to avoid crashes altogether!
