FT Gremlin Hyperion 600TVL Mount

<p>Are you following along with TJ to build your FT Gremlin kit and wondering when he is going to release his Hyperion Camera mount? Well wait no further. This is simply my own interpretation of what he showed on camera but it came out great so I thought I'd share for anyone out there itching to use a setup similar to TJ's.</p> <p>This is specific for TJ's Gremlin frame, but for all I know it will work in the others if the other frames have a similar layout to how the TJ designed his.</p> <h3> Print Settings</h3> <p><strong>Printer Brand:</strong></p> <p>Prusa</p> <p><p class="detail-setting printer"><strong>Printer: </strong> <div><p>Prusa Mk2</p></div><strong>Rafts:</strong></p> <p>No</p> <p><p class="detail-setting supports"><strong>Supports: </strong> <div><p>Yes</p></div><strong>Resolution:</strong></p> <p>.15</p> <p><p class="detail-setting infill"><strong>Infill: </strong> <div><p>20%</p></div></p> <p><strong>Notes:</strong></p> <p>I couldn't wait any longer for TJ to release his design so I whipped this up this morning. My original print has 2.8mm diameter screw holes in the stand-offs. I don't have an M3 tap handy so I just ran a metal M3 screw all the way into all the holes to "tap" them for the nylon screws included with the FT Gremlin kit. This worked fine but was pretty tight so I created two more iterations (which I have not tried) at 2.9 and 3.0mm dia. holes in case they are more ideal.</p> <p>This was printed at 0.15 resolution and I used supports. Most of the flat areas are only 1mm thick. The resulting mount is very light, very thin and also flexible. Be careful removing the supports and while tapping that you don't damage your mount!</p> <p>The camera is tilted back at 10 deg. and I also included a cutout to allow the power wires to have a place to go without interference.</p> <h3> Post-Printing</h3> <p><strong>As printed</strong></p> <p><strong>Support material removed</strong></p> <p><strong>Camera snapped in place!</strong></p> <h3> How I Designed This</h3> <p><strong>Fusion 360</strong></p> </p></p></p> Category: R/C Vehicles
