FT Gremlin - Chad Lewis Frame - EMax Camera Mount
thingiverse
You're rocking an EMax Baby Hawk and just upgraded to the Flite Test Gremlin Chad Lewis carbon fiber frame - hands down, the best there is! However, you're facing a problem - the EMax Camera won't fit on the included camera mount since it was designed specifically for their power pack. But don't worry, this camera mount will give you exactly what you need to attach your stock Baby Hawk camera and provide all the protection that Chad Lewis frame offers. Just remember, you'll need to lengthen the camera harness a bit; otherwise, all other parts just slide right in without modification. There are two versions of the mount available - one with 3mm screw threads built-in and another with through holes. Additionally, some spacers come included since the Flite Test M3 Long screws tend to be a tad too long, leaving minimal thread room for the screw that comes from the other side. When printing the threaded version, make sure to use 0.1mm layer heights; for the hole version, 0.2 should suffice. You can secure your camera to the mount using a small rubber band - just like the ones used in those popular rubber band bracelets you see kids making these days! If you don't have any lying around, you can easily pick up a pack on eBay or Amazon for next to nothing. These bands will come in handy not only for securing your camera but also for holding other things together in your RC fleet. If you're not equipped with a 3D printer, no worries - I'd be happy to print out a couple of mounts for you! Just find me on 3DHubs and we'll get you sorted.
