I engineered a customized firewall system that seamlessly integrates with the FT Goblin. Flitetest utilized their standard interchangeable design's existing firewall template for this build. Although functional, this approach necessitated installing the motor directly onto the firewall before gluing it into place within the plane. Future motor replacement would inevitably require disassembling the aircraft, a cumbersome process. To overcome these limitations, I created a new firewall design that not only facilitates effortless motor swaps but also enables rear-panel access for electronic component installation and enhances airflow through the motor compartment. This innovative design achieves all of these goals while retaining the same material usage as Flitetest's original firewall template. A laser-cut version was employed in my build, but I've included an STL file for anyone who prefers to 3D print this exact design.
