I've been using a tail skid meant to fit the Flite Test Simple Cub on my dirt and pavement takeoffs and landings, and I'm impressed with how little wear it's shown after 20 or so flights. It should last longer than the plane itself. You can also attach this tail skid to other planes like the FT Simple Scout for added protection.
