FT-891 Mic Interface
thingiverse
This is a microphone / PTT interface for the Yaesu FT-891. I needed a way to change from a handheld mic to a headset mic. I've designed this with the ability to change mics quickly at home or in the field. The Yaesu mic uses a standard CAT6 style connector. I wired two 3.5mm jacks to a CAT6 Keystone connector. Install the 3.5 jacks into the end-plate first. Next, run the CAT6 connecter through the body and install it into the other endplate. I used #4 x 1/2" screws but slightly shorter would work too. My first unit was printed in PLA, but I'm going to try PETG. I take the 891 portable and really don't need the interface to deform in the sun.
