FT-5 Chimera Mount V1.5
thingiverse
Going to start transforming my Filastruder FT-5 into a dual Bowden Chimera printer. I've had some success with the Chimera on my Rostock using my remixed Effector http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1739015, so I thought I'd give the FT-5 a try. This is my first attempt at creating a mount for this setup, and I wanted it to be a simple transition, so I modeled it after the NEMA 17 motor that came stock with the FT-5. I also wanted to use the same platform I designed for auto-leveling http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1912004, which should work with the stock setup as well. This is just the beginning of this project, so stay tuned! I'll be including the firmware for dual heads once I get all the necessary hardware together - namely the extruders and wiring. Note: Yes, I used my Rostock to print this mount, and it has an enclosure that allows me to print with ABS. Update 3-16-17: Check out my duel spool holder bracket http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2179032 - I'm getting closer to setting up the Chimera! Here's a link for the Chimera: https://www.filastruder.com/products/chimera-cyclops Printer Settings: Printer Brand: SeeMeCNC Printer: Rostock MAX v2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .25 Infill: 40% Notes: Printed in ABS
