FT-5 Adjustable Z Endstop

No drilling of melamine parts is necessary for this design, as it utilizes an unused CNC mounting hole for the adjustment bolt. This modification is specifically tailored for the Folgertech FT-5 and involves adjusting the z-axis end stop. The large piece of the end stop is secured by two bolts on the Y-axis cable chain mount and one to two bolts around a z-axis smooth rod, depending on the model downloaded. When installed, this piece is extremely stable. To note: swapping shorter bolts from the cable chain mount with longer bolts used for securing the z-axis switch is required. The adjustment bolt assembly, from bottom to top, includes: 1. M3 40mm bolt (a shorter one may work) 2. 2mm printed washer 3. Spring (one from a click pen was used) 4. 2mm washer insert (insert facing up) 5. Insert through the underside of the unused CNC mounting hole 6. Nut capture 7. M3 nut 8. Bolt foot If any questions or suggestions for improvements arise, please let me know. Happy printing! Update 01/26/17: Some users have encountered fitment issues with the stock FT-5 X carriage and hot end. A redesigned mount is now available, offering two models (stock and E3D V6). Both designs should work seamlessly with the stock X carriage; simply choose the model to download based on your hot end. Thank you for contributing suggestions towards improvements.
