FT 2020 Kossel Delta Spool Holder This spool holder is designed to mount directly onto 2020/2040 extrusions. The shaft is crafted from leftover carbon rod that was used to build the delta arms in the FT Delta kit. The spool holder allows the spool to be placed right behind the extruder and applies just enough tension on the spool to prevent unwinding and self-binding. Edit: The rod used in this design has a 5mm outer diameter/3mm inner diameter, and a length of 6 inches should suffice, but double-check your placement/application before shortening the rod. Edit: Additional renderings have been added as guides for assembly. "-2020SpoolHolder1" shows the two-rod holder brackets, while "-2020SpoolHolder2" depicts the two pieces used to create one hub. Two of these hubs are required to support a single spool. Note: For the hub assembly, place the hub (the largest part) on the carbon rod, then slide the hub spacer (the smallest part) behind it. Using CA glue, bond both parts together. This completes the hub assembly. If you feel that the spacer is not needed, it's optional and unnecessary for a working spool holder.
