FSM Pirate Fish iPhone 6 case
thingiverse
Flying Spaghetti Monster inspired iPhone 6 case. Updated final alternate stl with full tail and bridged buttons, featuring a large fish that creates a robust bridge, allowing slicer to print great without support... A surprisingly satisfying combination. Instructions Based on 2 merged Thingiverse designs, I took advantage of a unique opportunity to merge the best features from both. The original fish model is no longer available online, so I've attached it for reference, with hopes that you can identify the original designer and extend proper credit. Initially, I experimented with full cut-out, but the bridged relief offered superior strength and a striking fossil-like appearance when scaled 1% in ZY. In an "unplanned" experiment, placing the ABS version on tile flooring inadvertently revealed its resilience - the case protected my iPhone despite minor cracking! Impressively more resilient in PLA, too. The Pirate Fish relief is precisely .6mm deep; it's recommended to print with a layer height that's a multiple of this value. You're free to adjust according to your preferences using Sketchup - see attached file for your convenience. As evidence of the design's capabilities, I've included an image of the ABS model printed at 0.2mm on glass, showcasing its striking texture and durability.
