Here are the bases I created for Firestorm Armada, carefully designed to ensure proper arcs of fire and feature slots for acrylic poles in 3-4mm thickness. I experimented with a variation of the standard capital size base, which measures 60mm in diameter. By spacing the slots further apart, I was able to achieve greater stability for my 3D printed ships.
