FS1852 Palatki Grotto Panel 17 Detail
sketchfab
This is a small portion of Palatki Grotto Panel 17, featuring a complex superposition of probable Archaic, Sinagua, Yavapai, and Apache pictographs and scratched petroglyphs. Extensive "historic" (over 50 years old) and modern graffiti cover the surface, rendering them irreparable without destroying the underlying ancient glyphs. This rock art panel presents multiple instances of superposition, showcasing Archaic, Sinagua, Yavapai, Apache, and historic graffiti in a complex arrangement. This model is part of an ongoing project to evaluate the superposition of Archaic and younger imagery over older petroglyph scratching.
