FS1850 Palatki Grotto Panel 15 Detail
sketchfab
This is a small portion of Palatki Grotto Panel 15, showcasing a duo-toned Archaic snake image alongside imagery from Archaic, Sinagua, and Yavapai cultures high up on the rock face. The model sits just below the area marked FS1849. Below the snake glyph, a Yavapai charcoal rendition of the higher Archaic "water" glyph is visible. Further down, faint probable Sinagua images are overlaid atop older images. This rock art panel features multiple instances of superposition from Archaic, Sinagua, Yavapai, Apache, and historic graffiti. The model is part of an ongoing project to analyze the superposition of Archaic and younger imagery over older petroglyph scratching.
