FS1843 Honanki Panel 29 Element 39
sketchfab
This is a small section of rock art panel 29 at the Honanki Heritage Site within the Red Rock District of Arizona's Coconino Forest, northwest of Sedona. The central glyph etched into the surface is a Sinagua or Yavapai Akaka commonly seen in the area, characterized by radiating head dress. A portion of the glyph below the head is heavily worn due to erosion and deeply grooved glyphs on either side are also severely weathered. Certain areas of the rock face are gradually disintegrating. This documentation is part of an ongoing effort to record at-risk sites and rock art, as well as evaluate potential pre-Archaic imagery in the Verde Valley.
