This is rock art panel 32 at Honanki Heritage Site, nestled within Red Rock District of Coconino Forest, northwest of Sedona, Arizona. The panel above room 18 showcases an abundance of Sinagua and Yavapai pictographs on the upper part of the room wall. A model demonstrates how Yavapai artists utilized natural rock features like conchoidal fractured areas to add imagery, employing red ochre type paint in their style. This imagery is typical of Yavapai artistry, as they would have painted high up on Sinagua rooftops to achieve this elevation. This effort forms part of an ongoing project documenting at-risk sites and rock art, while also evaluating potential pre-Archaic imagery in the Verde Valley.
