This is a small section of rock art panel 33b at Honanki Heritage Site, situated within Red Rock District of Coconino Forest, northwest of Sedona, Arizona. The panel features an abundance of Sinagua pictographs and a peculiarly gouged arc petroglyph that resembles a crescent moon in shape. Experts struggle to pinpoint the origin and meaning of this glyph due to its complex nature. This documentation is part of a larger project aimed at preserving high-risk sites and rock art, as well as investigating potential pre-Archaic imagery in Verde Valley. Although this sub-panel is out of reach for typical vandalism attempts, evidence suggests natural erosion has caused parts of the rock face to slough off.
