The Palatki Heritage Site is situated northwest of Sedona, Arizona, within the Red Rock District of the Coconino National Forest. The site is overseen by the U.S. Forest Service and relies heavily on volunteers from both the Sedona Friends of the Forest and the Forest Service to operate it effectively. Normally, the site remains open seven days a week from 9:30am to 3:00pm. However, visitors are strongly advised to contact 928-282-3854 in advance to verify that the site is accessible for their visit. The Palatki Heritage Site itself encompasses a historic ranch situated within a stunning red rock canyon. Tours led by volunteer guides cover significant aspects of the site, including a Sinagua pre-historic dwelling and pictographs and petroglyphs dating back to approximately 8000BC.
