This small area of rock art panel 15 is nestled within the Grotto Alcove of the Palatki Heritage Site in Arizona's Red Rock District, situated northwest of Sedona. The region is part of the Coconino Forest, where ancient stories are etched into the landscape. This particular section showcases a portion of an Archaic rake symbol pictograph that appears to be superimposed on probable older vertical petroglyphs and later scratched over by younger Sinagua or Apache marks. The age of these earliest scratches remains unknown for now. This scene is part of a larger project focused on documenting vulnerable sites and rock art, as well as evaluating potential pre-Archaic imagery in the Verde Valley.
