FS1803 Palatki Roasting Pit Alcove Panel 24
sketchfab
The edge of Panel 24 at the Palatki Roasting Pit site boasts a striking array of vertical and complex scratched petroglyphs that have been deciphered to originate from a diverse range of ancient cultures, including Archaic, Sinagua, Yavpai, and Apache. The style of this sample is thought to be Sinagua or younger, yet it is clearly overlaid by Sinagua or younger paint, potentially indicating an age of Archaic or older. In the lower left corner of the model, the vertical scratches exhibit a complex relationship with horizontal and inclined scratches that have been severely degraded by erosion or wear. This model encompasses an area of approximately 40 square centimeters.
