FS1635 V bar V Panel 9
sketchfab
Model created of a Sinagua petroglyph element on Panel 9 at V bar V Heritage Site, located south of Sedona, Arizona, within the Red Rock District of the Coconino Forest. Photographs used in the model were taken with an electronic flash to highlight the intricate details of the indirect percussion method employed by the Sinagua pre-historic culture between 1100 and 1200 AD. This model is part of a larger project aimed at documenting "at risk" rock art found at our Heritage Sites, threatened by natural or vandalism-related issues. Additional information about the Red Rock District of the Coconino Forest can be found on websites such as sedonaredrocktrails.org and fs.usda.gov/recmain/coconino/recreation. Volunteer opportunities in the Coconino Forest, including the creation of 3D models and other projects, are available through friendsoftheforestsedona.org.
