FS1609 Palatki Grotto Archaic Pictograph ???
sketchfab
This is a small portion of element 7 on rock art panel 21 in the Grotto Alcove of the Palatki Heritage Site northwest of Sedona, Arizona. Based on C14 analysis of a similar pictograph at a different site, this pictograph has been interpreted to have been created in the very early Archaic period. Recent review of the glyph suggests that the reddish-brown paint believed to be Archaic may overlay white paint presumed to be Sinagua or younger at position 1. Scratches overlying the reddish paint at position 1 appear to overlay all other glyphs. The reddish paint is clearly overlain by white Sinagua, Yavapai, or Apache paint at position 3. This model should be compared with FS1608, which was created using original photographs without Dstretch.
