This model is part of an ongoing project to document "at risk" features at Heritage Sites within the Coconino Forest, impacted by natural or vandalism-related issues. This east-facing front image showcases a pumphouse situated at Pendley Ranch in Slide Rock State Park, north of Sedona, Arizona. The structure dates back to the 1920s and initially housed a pump system that raised water from Oak Creek up to Pendley Ditch for irrigation on the farm. Today, it suffers from vandalism and graffiti, which are periodically removed by Forest Service volunteers. A close-up detail of graffiti on the wooden door can be seen in other models.
