This model is part of an ongoing project to document "at risk" features at Heritage Sites in the Coconino Forest due to natural or vandalism-related issues. This is a view from outside the east wall of the north room at the Van Deren historic Cabin in the Coconino Forest near Sedona, Arizona. The west wall has been removed from this model. Much of the original wood is in bad condition, with almost all the interstitial wood and fill material now gone. The cabin dates back to the very early 20th century. Major repairs were carried out by the Forest Service and Friends of the Forest Volunteers in the late 1990s.
