This model is part of an ongoing project to document "at risk" features at Heritage Sites in the Coconino Forest due to natural or vandalism-related issues. The breezeway between the north and south rooms at the Van Deren historic Cabin in the Coconino Forest near Sedona, Arizona, showcases a view from the east side. Much of the original wood is in poor condition, with other localized areas of degradation highlighted in detailed models. Dating back to the earliest 20th century, the cabin underwent major repairs by the Forest Service and Friends of the Forest Volunteers in the late 1990s.
