This is the upper right side area of rock art panel 9 in the Grotto Alcove of the Palatki Heritage Site, northwest of Sedona, Arizona. This panel boasts a rich collection of pictographs and petroglyphs created by the Sinagua people and possible petroglyphs by Archaic and Apache cultures. The harsh lighting accentuates the distinctive scratched then polished then scratched again corners characteristic of this region. This model is part of an ongoing initiative to document the progressive degradation of the rock face at this site, where you can observe areas with spalling rock fragments and fractures that are being carefully documented to track changes over time.
