FS1474 Palatki Grotto Panel 9 detail
sketchfab
This is the central area of rock art panel 9 in the Grotto Alcove of the Palatki Heritage Site, northwest of Sedona, Arizona. The panel showcases pictographs and petroglyphs created by the Sinagua people, as well as probable petroglyphs from Archaic and Apache cultures. Harsh lighting accentuates the distinctive scratched and polished corners characteristic of this area. This model is part of an ongoing initiative to document the gradual deterioration of the rock face at this site, where visible areas reveal rock fragments spalling off and fractures forming. By documenting these changes over time, researchers can gain valuable insights into the site's history.
