FS1472 Palatki Grotto Panel 1
sketchfab
This is a key section of rock art panel 1 within the Grotto Alcove of Palatki Heritage Site, situated northwest of Sedona, Arizona. Pictographs and petroglyphs on this panel are attributed to the Sinagua pre-historic Native American Indian Culture, with possible additional contributions from Archaic and Apache cultures. This model forms part of a comprehensive project aimed at documenting the progressive deterioration of the rock face at this site, including areas where fragments are spalling off due to fractures that are being tracked over time for changes. Further details about the Red Rock District within Coconino Forest can be found on websites such as sedonaredrocktrails.org and fs.usda.gov/recmain/coconino/recreation. Information regarding volunteer opportunities in Coconino Forest, including 3D model creation and other projects, is available at friendsoftheforestsedona.org.
