417 P9 These stunning Sinagua petroglyphs are hidden away in a secluded site deep within the Red Rock District of Arizona's Coconino Forest near Sedona. A highly weathered rock face is all that remains, and it's on the brink of being lost forever. The main petroglyph was skillfully created using the indirect percussion method that's typical of this region. It's anyone's guess whether this image represents a human hand print, a bear's paw, or something entirely different. These detailed models are part of an ongoing project to thoroughly document at-risk sites in the Coconino Forest.
