FS1453 Palatki Grotto Rock Art Panel 17 detail
sketchfab
This is a small area of rock art panel 17 in Grotto Alcove, Palatki Heritage Site, northwest of Sedona, Arizona, in Coconino Forest. The panel boasts multiple pictographs from Archaic, Sinagua, Yavapai, Apache, and probably historic graffiti layered on top of each other with the oldest underlying the younger imagery. In the center of this model, a Yavapai "Akaka Wasiva" symbol overlays faint Archaic and Sinagua images. A ladder-like image to the right could be Yavapai or historic graffiti that clearly overlays Akaka. Directly below is an Apache zoomorph interpreted as an antelope.
