This is a view of rock art panel 15 at Grotto Alcove in Palatki Heritage site NW of Sedona, Arizona. The panel features pictographs and petroglyphs created by Archaic and Sinagua pre-historic Indian cultures. In the upper central area, an Archaic "Rake" symbol is prominently displayed, believed to represent rain or water. The white-painted rake is clearly superimposed on deeply incised vertical petroglyphs, which are also attributed to the Archaic period. A faded white Sinagua corn symbol can be seen in the lower right-hand corner, with Yavapai charcoal highlighting it. Above and to the right and left of the rake symbol are probable Archaic water symbols, depicted vertically.
