Palatki Grotto rock art panel 20. This is located in the main area of the Palatki Grotto alcove. The pictographs and petroglyphs in this region are attributed to various cultures, including Archaic, Sinagua, Yavapai, Western Apache, Hopi, and Navajo. There is also an abundance of modern and historic graffiti found here. The primary element within this model is believed to be a solar calendar based on the corresponding position of where the sun rises above a local viewpoint. The Palatki Heritage site is situated in the Red Rock District of the Coconino forest.
