Can you make a nice accessory from an old metal part? Simply print the parts, assemble them and the parallel slide for the surface grinder is ready. It fits many surface grinders that have such metal slides. Update: In this version, there is still a mounting plate attached to part B and before the handle, an additional nut is mounted. This way, it's easy to fix a setting so unintended movement can be prevented!! Update 10/2019: New version of parts A and B. Part A: Now has 7mm holes for rods (regardless of original or Alurod). These must be drilled out to 8mm on the table drill press. This makes the guidance smooth and the holes fit perfectly with no play and at a right angle to the rods. The rods are quite difficult to insert at first! Better to rework them often than to have play in the system! Part B: Is now closed at the back. This way, you can use the original rods - simply drill out a screw hole from behind (see photos) or close off Alurods and secure from underneath with small screws. I'd be happy if you'd share this via a link to my Instagram page! https://www.instagram.com/snibis_toolbox As always: No liability for any damage! Have fun!
