FruitPlate "The Wave" cnc/laser
thingiverse
This fruit plate shares a common design principle with my [Fruit Bowl "Sphere"](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1895838) due to its interlocking pieces. I used Fusion360 to create the basic body, utilizing the 'form' tool, apart from the bowl. Autodesk's release of 123-Make as a standalone Slicer AddOn to Fusion360 allowed me to utilize it independently without any linked functionality to Fusion. This meant that I couldn't even update the model with the same parameters. To nest the parts effectively, I used Illustrator instead of the 'Slicer', which proved more efficient. My build was done on a desktop CNC machine by [Stepcraft](https://www.zenziwerken.de/my-cnc) using 9 mm birch plywood and a spiral-toothed 1.5 mm flute. The parts were glued together and oiled to give it a nice finish. Please note that the STL file is for viewing only, as I haven't tried printing it yet. However, I've uploaded the 'Slicer' source file, allowing you to export individual parts for printing. Visit https://www.zenziwerken.de/en/ for more interesting designs.
