Fruit Fly Trap

This small funnel fits perfectly atop a compact canning jar. Fill the jar with overripe fruit and place the funnel on top, then secure it tightly with a lid. The flies are drawn to the fruit's scent and crawl inside through the funnel but find themselves unable to exit again. Using the original fruit as bait, this simple trap effectively eliminates the problem within a couple of days without the need for chemicals.
