Fruit Fly Lid for trap
prusaprinters

Note: I screwed up my first OpenSCAD design -- it used the diameter in the radius of the cylinders. I've adjusted my code for this iteration. Also I fixed my bad spelling....

I hate gnats / fruit flies! I mean, I REALLY HATE them!

Best trap I found so far was cider vinegar in a dessert cup with wrap over it with holes. They can smell the vinegar and go in but can't smell their way out. Then the micro-turds drown.

This is a lid for the little cups I use that can be configured. I included the code to use with OpenSCAD. I also included the STL but it'll only work if you are using my little cups.

Anywho, one day I'll figure out how to make it customizable in Thingiverse but for now just tweak the variables in the code.

The wall thickness should be a multiple of the nozzle width and the height should be a multiple of the layer height.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

I3 MK3S

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

.2 mm

Infill:

100

Filament: Prusament PETG orange

Notes:

.2mm is just what I used.
