Create a 3D-printed funnel for trapping fruit flies; set it up by printing without top/bottom layers and using 2-3 perimeters. Place a piece of fruit in a glass and insert the funnel, ensuring their entry but not exit! This method may also capture bees with a slight adjustment to the narrow part.
