Fruit Drain Plate

Fruit Drain Plate

thingiverse

The Fruit Plate2 is designed to improve melon quality by keeping the fruit above collected juice. With a diameter of 23cm, it fits a vintage Tupperware cake holder and, unlike a monolithic plate, can be printed on a MakerBot Replicator+. To print concurrently, Fruit Plate2 squeezes two identical halves side-by-side. The legs near the split are 2mm longer to flex the center up for draining. Thin and flexible, this plate prints quickly and gracefully. Print without rafts or supports, but note that due to the printer's build space limitations, the plate must be printed as two halves, either serially or concurrently using Fruit Plate2. After printing, snap the halves together and place in an inverted container with a cake base lid.
