We store a compact selection of vegetables (mostly cucumber, carrots, paprika) near the stove in our kitchen. Each time this area needs to be cleaned out, every item has to be moved separately. I experimented with a new approach to simplify this process. I applied the same design concept used for my horizontal Leaflet Display and the Apple Tray „Lines“. Two blocks of solid hardwood are joined by curved aludibond. This composite material can be bent if it is kerfed from one side. The bendlines create an interesting effect when they're not straight. My build was created using my Stepcraft and a 2 mm single flute endmill for the aludibond, as well as a 3 mm end mill designed specifically for wood. I used my hand router to add a decorative roundover to the handles. Please keep in mind that the stl file is intended for viewing purposes only and will not produce a functional print.
