The FrSky XSR-M/XSR-E mount is an incredibly compact receiver measuring just 20x20 mm with a 15x15 mm mounting area, boasting an impressive 16 channels and telemetry capabilities. Due to the unavailability of a suitable mount or adapter for this particular receiver in conjunction with my frame, I designed this tiny mount, which offers several benefits: - It can be printed without supports, ensuring a smooth and effortless printing process. - It enables the mounting of the receiver within a standard 30.5 mm stack, providing a neat and organized setup. - The design carefully avoids straining the antenna connectors, preventing any potential damage or compromise in performance. - It keeps the antennas at a precise 90-degree angle, allowing for optimal signal reception and transmission. - The mount securely holds the antennas well above the propellers, minimizing interference and ensuring reliable communication. To secure the receiver in place, apply a small drop of hot glue or melt the receiver posts at the top. Additionally, insert zip ties and cover the entire assembly with heatshrink. If you encounter difficulties while fishing the antenna through the tube, try gently bending its tip and twisting it a few times to facilitate its passage. I utilized HobbyKing ABS filament in fluorescent yellow for this design, which is particularly well-suited for drone applications due to its vibrant color that can easily blend into grassy environments. I hope you find this mount helpful and enjoyable to use. If it's been instrumental in enhancing your drone's performance, consider rewarding yourself with a cold beer!
