FRSKY X8R attachment for a Tarot 680 Pro
thingiverse
I decided to create my own version of a holder for the FRSKY X8R to use with my Tarot 680 Pro after gaining inspiration from other designs. The assembly consists of the main part that attaches to the two long carbon tubes at the back of the drone. A snug-fitting box for the radio is inserted into this holder, and it can be glued in place if desired. Two identical antenna covers are attached to the holder after installing the antenna pads, with one antenna rotated 90 degrees compared to the other. The entire assembly can be secured using screws and threaded inserts or other preferred designs. My assembly fits very tightly on the tubes, as does the radio in its box, so I chose not to use any special locking mechanism. The drone has flown for several hours (and experienced a few accidents) without issue, with the entire assembly functioning as intended. Unfortunately, Thingiverse prefers landscape-oriented photos, which can become distorted when uploaded; however, I hope this photo still provides some helpful insight.
