Two custom mounts designed specifically to accommodate the 5mm vertical support bars found on certain racing drones, notably the Emax Nighthawk. Before installing the mounts on the frame, the antenna should first be inserted into them, with its cable protruding downwards through a predrilled hole at the bottom of each mount. This clever design ensures that the cable maintains tension within the mount, providing added stability during flight operations. These bespoke mounts are fabricated from robust materials and feature two individual mounting compartments, one for each end of the antennas. To optimize signal transmission, their ends have been engineered to face perpendicular to each other. Thus far, this configuration has demonstrated its effectiveness in various test flights conducted by myself and others. In my initial experiments with these custom mounts on the frame of a 250-racer drone, I experienced no adverse effects whatsoever - the antennas secured snugly in place. However, in anticipation of future flight performance improvements, I plan to tweak the design even further to provide an even more secure connection for both the drone's frame and the antennae themselves. A refined version of this setup will be posted once it is ready. For now, these mounts have proven remarkably reliable in flight scenarios, exceeding my initial expectations for their capabilities.
