Frsky X20 tray
thingiverse
I am no expert designer, i tried to make a transmitter tray for my Frsky X20 because i did not find one for my Frsky X20 transmitter. My approach to this is "KISS" or keep it simple stupid... I like stuff that are simple, yet works like i want it to. What you see here is two different versions of my Frsky X20 version 2.0 tray. One has a 3D printed base and a laser cut wood part. The other version is laser cut acrylic. The 3D print is PLA+ and 100% infill. Aluminium tubes between the parts are 8mm tube and i made M6 treads inside the tubes for M6 bolts to hold the thing together. There are also two small pieces that needs to be printed in TPU. They hold the radio to the tray. And mount them with M3 bolts. The radio will not fall out of the tray if it is built correct. I might change the design later, but have been using the 3D printed/wood version for 4-5 months now and it is working just fine. The acrylic version is new, i just cut it on the laser. So no experience with that version yet... but acrylic is stiffer than the 3D print. And that was what i was hoping for. The 3D printed tray is a little on the soft side, but it works just fine. But ASA might be a better material for that part.
