FrSky Taranis X9 Lite Custom Shell 2.1
thingiverse
This is version 2 of my custom shell. Designed to use it with FrSky M7 Hall Sensor Gimbals and Crossfire Micro TX. The battery bay was modified to make use of 2 x 18650 cells. Rear shell can be printed with or without the cut-outs for a 2s USB charging balancing board.

You need to modify the power button (cut to length).

You remove the internal RF board! It's designed for the TBS Crossfire Micro module - the existing internal RF board needs to be removed (new org replacement is about $26 - see below).

You remove the trim pods (never really used them, plug them once, trim and forget...)

M3 brass threaded inserts: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/M3-brass-ultrasert-threaded-insert-nut_698749354.html https://www.amazon.de/Gewindeeinsatz-Gewindebuchsen-Einpressmutter-Kunststoffteile-Ultraschall/dp/B07ZZHL4RY/ref=sr_1_7?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&keywords=threaded+inserts+m3&qid=1577617342&sr=8-7 RF replacement board: https://www.horusrc.com/en/frsky-taranis-x9-lite-rf-board.html 2s USB charging balancing board: https://www.modmaker.co.uk/Micro-USB-2S-Balance-Charger For the battery holder I used the clips out of those holders: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07331B193/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_LzGOEb419NC9E Bodyfiller: https://www.motipdupli.com/en/products/presto/styrene-reduced-putties/ipg-1098.html Assembly video: https://youtu.be/chSrdssZOE4 Sorry, the stock TX won’t fit in and don't intend to modify this version for the stock TX
