The two main advantages of this antenna holder are:\nA) You won't need to buy expensive antenna tubes. Instead, it securely holds cheap zip ties that you can easily find anywhere.\nB) The zip tie is mounted in such a way that it can swing freely back and forth without tilting sideways. This means your antenna will be able to bend during a crash without hitting the propellers, as shown in one of the photos where the antenna is bent.\nThis design was originally created for the FrSky D8R-II Plus, but you can easily adapt it to other receivers or transceivers with minimal modifications.\nThe two top holes serve as guide holes to help you route the antenna wires and attach the receiver to the antenna holder. I use standard Velcro to hold my receiver and this antenna assembly together.\nAfter extensive testing and numerous crashes, this design works flawlessly!\nPrint Settings\nPrinter Brand: Formlabs\nPrinter: Form 1\nSupports: Yes\nResolution: 200 microns\nNotes:\nFirst, install the zip ties before adding the antenna wires.\nInstead of using small zip ties to secure the antenna wire to the larger zip tie, you can use shrink tubes for this purpose.\nPost-Printing\nIf you're using an UV curable resin (common in Form1 printers), it's highly recommended that you paint the part to protect it from direct sunlight. If not, the part may become brittle and break.\nWhy I Created This Design\nNo more mangled antennae?\nI got tired of dealing with chopped-up antennae and didn't want to spend extra money on antenna tubes when I had plenty of zip ties lying around.
